Christopher Iverson, who said he was not a binary, has now rejected a settlement offer from Gateway Casino and Entertainment in court. The plaintiff claimed that C$7,000 offered by the gaming company was not enough. They took the case to the BC Human Rights Court, but the court decided to rule against him.

The case in question occurred in March 2020 at an unidentified location at Gateway Casino and Entertainment in B.C., where court filings show Iverson resorted to using the casino's women's restroom after the man was shut down, but security afterwardsWon approached him and asked him to provide his ID, and the plaintiff claims he was neglected because he was not a woman.

According to the plaintiff's statement, the sponsor was accused of using the wrong bathroom after being told their proof did not count as a woman, and Iverson said anyone identifying as transgender should first go to the customer service desk and check in to use the 'other' bathroom, and was asked to leave.

Meanwhile, the casino operator has a different view of what happened that day. The casino says it has received complaints from other customers about a man who appears to be using the women's restroom. Also, the estate told Iverson there was a non-gender bathroom nearby, but the customer was excited and said he would get rich in the situation.

The plaintiff said they knew high-ranking officials in the government and threatened to sue the property and contact the media to solve the problem, and the two sides tried to solve the problem through arbitration, but it was no use, and the casino offered a $7,000 Canadian settlement, updated the policy and training content, and issued a letter of apology to Iverson.

But now the court has ruled that the monetary offer is valid, and that it features only a relatively short case, and that there has been no identity-related insults, violence, or repeated bullying. It also has strong public policy interests for the parties to settle disputes voluntarily, and has led Iverson to accept a two-week agreement.

Over the past few months, Gateway Casino and Entertainment have added two new gaming attributes to their casino portfolio. First, in September 2022, the company's Cascade Casino Delta began operations in B.C. The new casino is close to the southern end of the George Massey Tunnel in Delta and grand opened on Sept. 29, 2022.

Shortly thereafter, the company held a soft opening ceremony for the Playtime Casino Wasaga Beach in Ontario. Then, in late January 2023, the casino's opening representative, the Ontario Lottery and Game Company, finally delivered its first game revenue-sharing check of more than C$152,000 to Mayor Brian Smith.
