When was the most regrettable moment for Italian legend goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

"Buffon has chosen one game in his career that he wants to play again."

Buffon has completed his active career since his professional debut in Parma in 1995 and ended his career in 2023. He was considered one of the best goalkeepers throughout his career, including defensive coordination, along with his overwhelming ability to defend, and he was 45 last year, and he left the soccer world after playing two seasons in Parma, where he made his debut after playing for Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

Buffon said in the past, "I may retire at age 55," but he declared his retirement, unable to overcome the weight of time. At the time, Buffon thanked him through SNS, saying, "You gave me everything. I gave you everything, too."

Buffon, who left the soccer world, revealed his moments as a player he regretted the most. Fans could also guess some of the moments when Buffon was expected to regret the most. Among them, the most considered moments are definitely the European Champions League (UCL) finals. Buffon reached the UCL final as a member of Juventus in the 2002-2003 season, 2014-2015 season, and 2016-2017 season, but he never lifted the big year after losing all of them.

However, there was another moment when Buffon regretted it the most. Daily Sports reported that Buffon was willing to play in the Euro 2012 final between Italy and Spain again.

Despite low expectations, Italy reached the final by beating England and Germany after passing the group stage in 2012. Later, Italy faced Spain, which was considered the best team in the world at the time, in the final. Italy lost the title with a humiliating 0-4 defeat to Spain, which is full of world stars including Andrea Iniesta, Xavi Alonso, Sergio Busquets, Xavi Hernandez and Sergio Ramos. Buffon could not forget the moment of defeat.

Buffon said, "If I could play any game in my career again, I would choose the Euro 2012 final against Spain. We have no reason to face such a result. I was tired at the time and I didn't want to make excuses, but I played in a situation where I couldn't physically withstand it. If I had rested another day, I could have played another game," expressing strong regret.  토토사이트

Buffon, who even won the World Cup in Germany in 2006, could not win the Euro trophy until he eventually retired from playing. The Euro final seems to be a big blow to Buffon, even more so than the UCL, which he has repeatedly suffered from.
