Casino sales of Paradise Co., Ltd., the operator of a local foreign-only game center, fell 7.6 percent sequentially to 17.22 billion won ($13.5 million) in April from 18.64 billion won in March.

March earnings improved month-on-month from February.

Paradise Corp's April casino sales were up 14.6% year-over-year.

Sales fell 9.6% month-on-month to 14.9 billion won in April, but rose 12.5% year-on-year, the group said in a filing to the Korea Exchange on Monday.

Game console sales rose 9.3% and 30.2% year-on-year to 2.32 billion won in April.

As a result, total casino revenue for the four months to April 30 was 70.98 billion won, down 14.6% year-on-year.

Table drops in April, the amount that customers exchanged for chips at tables, fell 5.2% month-on-month to 123.62 billion won. On a year-on-year basis, table drops in April were down 25.4%.

The drop in the tally for January-April 2022 was 482.74 billion won, down 11.1% from a year earlier.

The April figures above are based on the casino divisions of the group, including Walkerhill in Seoul, the capital of Korea, Jeju Grand on Jeju Island, Paradise City in Incheon, and Busan Casino in Busan, the southern port city.
