Ahn Nam-joong won 1-1 in two preliminary Group C matches held at the 2024 Dasarangbae Community Cup Good Together LEVEL UP Basketball Competition.

Ahn, who was in Group C along with Hogye Jung and Hongik University, suffered a five-point defeat (23-28) in the first match of qualifying against Hongik University. Later, he defeated Hogye Jung in the second match.

Although the score was low, the two teams displayed quality performance to the audience. There was also a funny scene that was not easily seen.

During the first half of the match against Hongik University, Ahn Nam-joong, who played harder than anyone else, suffered from rapid physical difficulties in the second half. In the end, he even had a funny situation where he left the court due to discomfort in his stomach during the third quarter.

According to a Good Together official, this is the first time the competition has been held since 2018. This wasn't just for the players. Referees who traveled at full speed for the first time in a long time also used to look tired.

However, the documentaries re-stepped on the court soon after, and finished the game struggling to win until the end.

Since the tournament does not have the team's main seniors, the lower-grade players have to do everything from the start to the end of the game. Playing for so long is also an unfamiliar situation in recent years.

Nevertheless, the lower-grade players, led by Seo Moon-jin, were growing one step with a sense of responsibility, fun, and joy that they had not usually encountered through precious opportunities to play.

After the game, the documentaries said, "When I played with the third graders, I was able to play comfortably. However, it was more difficult than usual because there were no players who were in the center."

First and second graders don't have many days to get a chance to play, so they are expressing more desperation and desperation than anyone else at this year's event. This was the same with the documentaries.

"Before the competition started, I thought I should work hard, but running made it so difficult. That was a bit disappointing," Moon said.

"I felt so uncomfortable during the game that I almost made a mistake on the court (laughs). But I couldn't do that, so I told the coach and replaced him and came to the bench," the documentary team said.

When the two preliminary games were over, the documentaries immediately held onto their knees and exhaled. Ironically, however, the documentaries never lowered their energy levels in the face of in-game situations.

Officials who watched the game also evaluated the documentary team as "the most combative and active player in the game."

After hearing this, the documentary team said, "I couldn't rest easily because the coach had high expectations. I also wanted to lead the players on the court like the captain did."

Although ball power has not yet been accumulated, the documentaries have physical ability based on their outstanding height. It also combines a surprise pass that catches the opponent off guard and a wide court vision. The documentaries, who had a lot of strengths, mentioned shooting as a point to complement themselves.

"I have been practicing a lot of running and running drills. I am also taking care of dribbling control. I think I need to do additional shooting drills (laughs)."

Seo Moon-jin, who has a bad ankle, finished the interview with a resolute determination to participate normally tomorrow to finish the tournament until the end.
