He is Lee Jung-hoo (25, San Francisco Giants) who makes a hit.

Lee Jung-hoo started the 2024 Major League Baseball LA Dodgers away game at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California on the 3rd (Korea time). He struggled with two strikeouts in his previous four at-bats, but continued his on-base streak in all games this season by producing hits in his last at-bats.

Dodgers pitchers including Ryan Brazier, who started the game, avoided a fastball game when facing Lee Jung-hoo. Lee Jung-hoo has been very strong in fastballs in the big leagues.

For this reason, Lee appeared to be having a hard time in the beginning of the game. Entering his first batter's box as a lead-off hitter in the top of the first inning, Lee struck out three pitches at the Brazil-based batter's box.

Taking the batter's box for the second time with runners on the first and second bases with two outs in the second inning, Lee bowed his head again at the breaking ball. He hit a curveball to the second pitch after selecting the first sinker against Ryan Yarbrough, who took over from the Brazier, which resulted in a grounder to the second base.

At the third batter's box, Lee didn't get a fastball. With one out in the top of the fifth inning when his team was trailing 2-5, Yarbrough sprayed a sinker and two curveballs. Lee pitched the bat on a high curveball at the third pitch, but was out due to a fly ball to the left field. Lee also had three strikeouts in his fourth batter's box.

However, he managed to garner a hit in the final at-bat. Entering his fifth at-bat with two outs in the top of the ninth inning when his team was losing 4-5, Lee hit the second cut fastball by Dodgers closer Evan Phillips, and produced a single that separated the gap between the first and second basemen. The fastball amounted to 101.9 miles (163 kilometers).

Lee Jung-hoo saved a faint hope, but subsequent hitters did not get on base. San Francisco lost 4-5 to the Dodgers, recording its third consecutive loss.

Lee, who has been displaying robust batting performance since his debut season, continued his on-base streak for six consecutive games. After the game, his batting average for this season slightly declined to 292 percent from 316 percent. Lee has seven hits in 24 times at bat this season.
