4th hitter Kim Jae-hwan hits 2 RBIs in the finals with a timely hit

The Doosan Bears raced to their 6th consecutive win in exhibition games.

Doosan won 2-1 in the away game against SSG Landers in the '2024 KBO League exhibition game' held at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on the 16th.

Doosan, which won all six games in this year's exhibition games, showed off its powerful power and brightened its outlook for this year.

The pitching staff's salty pitching is especially impressive.

Doosan starter Kim Dong-ju pitched 5 innings, allowing 1 hit, 1 strikeout, and no runs, reporting his first win in an exhibition game.

Kim Dong-ju showed off economical pitching with 51 pitches. The average ERA in 2 exhibition games (8 innings, 1 run) was lowered to 1.13. Kim Dong-ju, who is aiming for a spot as a starting pitcher, has impressed the coaching staff.

Doosan's fourth hitter, Kim Jae-hwan, led the team to victory by hitting a timely hit with the final two RBIs in the top of the first inning. Cho Soo-haeng recorded 1 hit and 1 run in 4 at-bats. SSG recorded 2 wins and 5 losses in the exhibition game.

SSG starter Park Jong-hoon became the losing pitcher after pitching 4⅓ innings, allowing 3 hits, 3 walks, 3 strikeouts, and 2 runs. Doosan took the lead in the top of the first inning. Jo Soo-haeng's hit, Heo Gyeong-min's hit to the body, and Henry Ramos' infield ground ball gave them a chance to hit second and third base with one out, and then Kim Jae-hwan's two RBI hit gave them the first run. Doosan, which maintained a 2-0 lead thanks to Kim Dong-joo's good pitching, brought in Park Jeong-su starting in the 6th inning.

However, Park Jeong-soo gave up 2 hits and contributed 1 point due to an error. SSG took the opportunity in the bottom of the 7th inning with a double by leadoff hitter Han Yu-seom.

However, Go Myung-jun, Jeon Eui-san, and Kim Seong-hyun struck out one after another and were unable to capitalize on the chance. Even in the 8th inning, SSG's batting line remained silent after leadoff hitter Lee Ji-young's hit, leaving a mark of disappointment.

Doosan's bullpen, including Min-gyu Kim, Choi Jong-in, and Jeong Cheol-won, each contributed to the victory with one inning of scoreless pitching. Closer Jeong Cheol-won earned his second save in the exhibition game. 토토사이트
