The fall of the "defending champions" is evident in major European leagues this season.

"The winners of last season's Spanish Primera Liga, Italian Serie A, and German Bundesliga have all had a difficult 2023/24 season so far," soccer content producer "score90" said on SNS on the 12th, highlighting the current performance of Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, and SSC Napoli.

Munich won the Bundesliga championship for 11 consecutive years last season. At the end of the season, they had difficulties in replacing Julian Nagelsmann and appointing Thomas Tuchel, but they achieved the league title. Munich, which was in second place until just before the last round, managed to rise to the top as Dortmund drew 2-2 against Mainz05 in the final match.

Munich cannot defend its title this season. Bayer Leverkusen led by Xavi Alonso is threatening Munich with 17 wins and four draws 55 points. In the previous match, which was the final match for the championship, Leverkusen defeated Munich 3-0 to move closer to winning the Bundesliga title. Munich, ranking second in the league with 16 wins, two draws and three losses 50 points, is now five points behind Leverkusen, ranking first.

FC Barcelona played with Coach Chavi Hernández last season. Barcelona kept its No. 1 ranking with 28 wins, four draws, and six losses 88 points in the 2022/23 season, beating out rivals such as Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Barcelona won the title with a strong defense that allowed only 20 runs in the league.

Barcelona is also struggling during the 2023/24 season. Currently, Barcelona is ranking third in the league with 15 wins, six draws and three losses 51 points. The gap with top-ranked Real Madrid 19 wins, four draws and one loss is a whopping 10 points. As pressure grew due to his below-expected performance, coach Chabi announced that he would step down after the end of the season.

Napoli is the club with the most serious downfall. Napoli emerged as a strong team in Serie A last season under Luciano Spalletti. Napoli, led by Victor Osimhen, Hvicha Kvaratzhelia, and Kim Min-jae, won the Serie A title with 28 wins, 6 draws and 4 losses 90 points. Napoli won the title for the first time in 33 years after the 1989/90 season. 메이저 토토사이트

Napoli became a completely different team this season. When Spalletti said goodbye to his team and Kim Min-jae left, Napoli went downhill. Napoli ranks ninth in the league with 10 wins, five draws and eight losses 35 points. They replaced Coach Rudy Garcia with Waltar Machari during the middle of the season, but this was not very effective. If things continue like this, it will be difficult for them to qualify for the European club competition.
