Gay rights advocacy groups seek help from opposition

LGBTQ+ advocacy groups at the second are turning to the opposition Pheu Thai Party for his or her support on attaining marriage equality in Thailand. This is approaching the heels of a serious Constitutional Court ruling that essentially upheld the ban on same-sex marriage in the country. These groups are campaigning to revise the Civil and Commercial Code, which in the intervening time only acknowledges marriage as being ‘between a man and a woman.’

According to the Post, Cholnan helps the LGBTQ+ movement and the party means to current a draft amendment invoice to parliament.
