Kiwoom announced on the 14th that it held an agreement ceremony with Goyang City at Goyang Special City Hall to extend the connection to the Futures team.

Kiwoom CEO Wi Jae-min, Goyang Mayor Lee Dong-hwan, and Kim Hye-sung, a former member of Goyang Little Baseball Team, attended the signing ceremony.

Kiwoom previously signed an agreement with Goyang City in November 2018 to launch Goyang Heroes and has used the Goyang national baseball training site as its home stadium since the 2019 season.

The two sides signed an agreement to extend the right of ties for another five years until 2028, and promised to continue joint marketing and social contribution activities for the development of sports culture in Goyang, including the operation of the Futures League.

"We are happy to continue our partnership with Goyang. Goyang Heroes is a place that plays an important role in nurturing the team's future resources," Kiwoom Director Wi Jae-min said. "We will try to nurture many good players with interest and support from the city. The club will also do its best to make Goyang Heroes a team loved by Goyang citizens."
