Who Built The Farm Well This Year

In the future, farming foreign players will become more important. This season's performance shows.

Starting in 2025, K League 1 will abolish the Asian quarter and have six foreign players. Up to four players are allowed to play, but it is highly likely that even this restriction will disappear within a few years.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to supply and demand domestic players. A skilled player easily turns his attention to overseas markets, and in reality, he leaves a lot. With the number of teams increasing to 25, the price of players skyrockets. The logic of the market goes against the direction the Korea Professional Football Federation pursues, such as disclosing annual salaries and fiscal consolidation policies. After all, bringing in foreign players is more efficient than recruiting domestic players for a large amount of money. This means that a team that is good at farming foreigners can save money and produce good results.

This is easy to see just this year. The Pohang Steelers, which ranked second this season, are a team that ranks among the middle and lower in terms of player salaries in the league. Despite this, they competed with Ulsan Hyundai for the championship. This is because all four foreign players – Zekka, Auberdan, Wandelson, and Grant – made the list of the best 11 players in this season. They all got it right 100 percent without a single failure. This is an exemplary case in which successful recruitment of foreigners led to successful results.

Ulsan, the winning team, is also a representative team that recruited foreigners well. Bako, Martin Adam, Rubik'sson, and Ataru all played their part. It is regrettable that Boyanich's presence has fallen relatively, but it deserves a high score in that there are no foreigners who have clearly failed.

Gwangju FC has also displayed strong performance this season thanks to manager Lee Jung-hyo's "eye view." Asani, Thomas, Becca, Timo, and Aaron all hit flat. Although there is no top 11 player, it is safe to give him a passing score considering that Gwangju did not spend a lot of money.

Incheon United, which entered the Final A, was also successful. Hernandez, Mpoku, Gerso, Mugosa, and Delbridge all did their part in their positions. Gerso made the best 11. It can be said that the strategy to recruit 'verified foreigners' in Korea was right.

Unfortunately, Daejeon, which failed to enter the Final A, utilized Thiago, Anton, and Martha as its main resources. Although it is regrettable that Leandro's contribution fell and Gutek, who joined during the season, was out of power early due to injury, overall, it can be said that he farmed smoothly. The recruitment of Thiago, which was verified in the second division, was right, and "New Face" Anton also successfully settled in the league.

On the other hand, Jeonbuk Hyundai, which has to compete with Ulsan for the championship, was close to failing grade in scouting ability. Notably, Hafa Silva and Andre Lewis, who were the most important recruits for Jeonbuk, became headache for the team early on. They have become players that they must dispose of in just one season. Petrasek, a defender who was brought in during the season, played in seven games in the second half of the season, but disappeared at the end of the season. Boateng is a player who paid the price, but it is hard to say that it is a very successful recruitment. Unlike in the past, Jeonbuk should have paid more attention to recruiting foreign players as it was in a situation where it was difficult to recruit national team players, but it missed this important point and received a humiliating report card of ranking fourth in the league. 스포츠토토사이트

Suwon Samsung, which suffered a direct demotion, also failed to scout. It has already failed to recruit foreign players for several years, and its failure to improve this weakness is cited as the reason for its demotion. Above all, the problem was that it repeatedly recruited foreign players who did not match the direction the coach wanted. Mulic and Werrick Four, who were brought in that way, lost their contribution. At least Kazuki, who was recruited through the Asian quarter, was the only successful recruit.

FC Seoul is not sure whether it will succeed or not. Some players played a big role in the team, including Falosevic, Willian, and Osmar, but Yülchenko only scored one goal, becoming an ambiguous player. Bjorn Johnson, Iesh were so blind that they did not know why he brought them.

Gangwon FC and Suwon FC, which are heading for the promotion and play-off, also find it difficult to evaluate foreigners' performance as positive. In particular, in Gangwon Province, Gabriel played well in the playoffs, but Yago Wellington and others had a weak presence.

Jeju United, which utilized only the fewest foreign players in the league, showed good performance by Yuri Jonatan, who had high expectations as a substitute for Joo Min-gyu, scoring 10 goals and 4 assists. Hayes also contributed by scoring 8 goals and 5 assists. However, it is regrettable that Ling only played in 11 matches, and that his pursuit of a small squad by recruiting a small number of foreign players led to poor performance.
