The Dong-A Sports Awards, which mark the 15th anniversary this year, is the only award ceremony in which representative players of Korea's five major professional sports, including baseball, soccer, basketball (men and women), volleyball (men and women), and golf (men and women), are selected through direct voting.

Noh Si-hwan displayed the best performance among KBO League hitters this year. He played 131 games and recorded a batting average of 0.298 (153 hits in 514 times at bat), 31 homers, 101 RBIs, 85 runs and a slugging percentage of 0.541. He acquired the individual title five years after his professional debut, and has displayed his talent as a next-generation powerhouse.

Noh Si-hwan also made an impressive impact as a member of the national team. He won the gold medal as the fourth batter at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games in October, and contributed to the runner-up at the 2023 Asian Professional Baseball Championship (APBC) in Tokyo, Japan in November by showing off his clutch skills.

In recognition of his performance, Noh Si-hwan outperformed his rivals at the Dong-A Sports Awards by an overwhelming margin. He garnered 199 points in total, with only 34 votes for the first place from a total of 50 fellow players, five from each club. NC Dinos' Son Ah-seop scored 80 points and LG Twins' Hong Chang-ki scored 74 points, respectively, to rank second and third.
