Professional volleyball players of KEPCO are happy to score in a game against OK Financial Group on the 14th

Men's professional volleyball KEPCO escaped from the quagmire of four consecutive losses.

KEPCO beat OK Financial Group in the second round of the Dodram 2023-2024 V-League with a set score of 3-0 25-23 25-22 25-21 at Suwon Gymnasium in Gyeonggi Province on the 14th.

KEPCO, which lost its first win of the season against Hyundai Capital on the 26th of last month and lost four consecutive games again, laughed for the first time in a long time with a "shutout" victory over the tricky OK Financial Group.

As a result, KEPCO accumulated six points 2 wins and 6 losses, beating KB Insurance 5 points, 1 wins and 7 losses, and getting out of the bottom.

Korea Electric Power Corp., which won the "Afterlife" competition, stay the same as today

KEPCO won without losing a set, but each set was a close game. The two teams faced off 21-21 until the end of the first set. KEPCO struggled to win the first set with the performance of Lim Sung-jin, who broke through OK Financial Group's blocking line.

The second set was more dramatic. KEPCO, which was dragged 11-15 in the middle of the set, chased Tice Dul Host registered name Tice steadily scoring points.

After tying the game 21-21, KEPCO scored a set point with Tice's open attack, Cho Keun-ho's blocking and opponent's error. And setter Ha Seung-woo blocked OK Financial Group's attack and won the second set.

KEPCO, which gained momentum, led 5-0 at the start of the third set. OK Financial Group, which was on the brink of a cliff, persistently followed Leonardo Leyva Martinez's registered name Leo struggles.

However, KEPCO did not give up the lead, and after reaching the match point with Tice's quick open at 22-20 at the end of the set, Seo Jae-deok hit a rear attack and finished the third set.

There's also KEPCO and Lim Sungjin who only looked at Tice

Lim Sung-jin of Korea Electric Power Corporation rejoices in scoring against OK Financial Group on the 14th

KEPCO's triangular formation, which had been sluggish this season, finally exploded. While Tice scored 17 points, the most in the team, Seo Jae-deok and Lim Sung-jin scored 13 points side by side. 스포츠중계 Links to an external site.

In particular, I was glad to see Lim Sung-jin's performance. The scoring and attack success rate were also good, but above all, he was a troubleshooter at every decisive moment. It was impressive that KEPCO scored consecutive points at the end of the first set at a time when it was following 22-23.

The reception was also stable. Korea Electric Power Corporation's Lim Sung-jin and Ryohei Iga registered name Ryohei stood on the receiving line. OK Financial Group hit a target serve to Lim Sung-jin, who was relatively unstable in receiving than Ryohei. However, Lim Sung-jin held on with a stable reception.

Until now, KEPCO has relied on foreign striker Tice. Seo Jae-deok was not completely out of the aftermath of the injury.

Lim Sung-jin, who played "Career High" last season, even earned the nickname "Prince Suwon" as he took off as the main striker of KEPCO. However, there was no bold attack this season, and he even delayed his chances to his fellow players.

However, it was different on this day. He was more aggressive in attacking than anyone else, easing the burden on Tice. As the attack revived, the middle blocker line with Shin Young-seok and Cho Keun-ho also cheered up. As the options of attack diversified, OK Financial Group had no choice but to struggle.

Attention is focusing on whether KEPCO's victory, which revived the triangle formation, will end up as a "sparkling" performance or an opportunity for a full-fledged rebound in rankings.
