Casino revenues in Macau continue to plummet, causing serious concerns for casinos and shareholders every month. Sternage CRT reports that casinos had a tough month in June, with bulk imports falling to 33.3 percent compared to June 2014. The figures confirm that the decline in revenue in June 2015 was the largest drop in the history of the Macau casino industry.

Sales of VIP rolling chips also fell 52.5%, the lowest since March 2010. The report also said that bulk revenue was the lowest since September 2012. But in the midst of all the despair and depression the casino industry has experienced in the past 12 months, a ray of hope appears to be on the horizon.

Sterne Agee CRT confirmed that while the gross gaming revenue (GGR) total in June 2015 was -36.2%, it was still positive for Macau's casino industry, as June was the fourth consecutive month of "less bad" results compared to the start of 2015. Sterne Agee CRT analyst David Bain, who wrote the report, said he expected continued improvements to Macau's casino industry and believed this would continue into the end of the year.

The Macau government recently eased restrictions on visa laws, allowing more mainland Chinese people to cross the border into Macau. This is the first time that the Macau government has relaxed any norms in favor of the struggling casino industry. Analysts believe the Macau government is finally making some revisions to help the casino industry recover. Shares of most of Macau's major casinos have surged as a rise in Chinese gamblers automatically allows more business in Macau casinos as the Macau government eases visa laws.

The $2.6 billion expansion of the Galaxy Macao casino has yet to bring much change to the market, but David Bain believes there have been encouraging signs in the casino industry and investors will be much more positive. "The Galaxy Mass market share in June and May increased from 16.5% to 19.3%, while VIP increased from 25.5% to 27.1%, " David Bain said in a statement. In our view, the results show the new real estate expansion design dynamics (more suitable for mass than VIP) and the Macau government's table allocation. Investors are optimistic about future improvements from new supplies as the summer travel season is now underway and transit visas increase from the 5th to the 7th of this month

Sterne Agee CRT estimates Macau's GGR growth rate in July will range from about negative 30% to 34%. 슬롯
