Is it issued only after 8 years... Ten years' pension

Chris Stewart (41), who retired in 2019 after playing as a backup catcher for six Major League Baseball teams, was a "gold card." Gold cards are "lifetime access tickets" issued to players who have completed more than eight years of "service time." The cardholder and one companion can enter all MLB baseball stadiums for free in the regular season.

Stewart did not receive the card after 12 years in MLB. To fill the service time of one year, one must be listed on the active entry or the injured list (IL) for at least 172 days a year. Stewart filled this period for seven years, but eventually took off his uniform after failing to meet the eight-year standard due to a lack of 35 days in the final season ahead of his retirement. 배트맨토토

The U.S. sports media "Athletic" investigated and introduced the record that players aim for while playing in MLB, although fans do not know it well. MLB players shout 'two more years' after getting a gold card. This is because they receive 100,000 U.S. dollars (about 131.8 million won) in pension every year if they fill 10 years of service time. Among Korean players, "Korean Express" Park Chan-ho (50) and Choo Shin-soo (41, SSG) receive the highest pension. Of course, the goal of players who did not go to MLB is to advance to MLB itself. You can receive lifelong medical insurance coverage even if you play in MLB for just one day.
