NFL Trophies and Awards explained

The NFL's winning teams are presented with one of three trophies. The special trophies are awarded to the champions of the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC), as well as the NFL Super Bowl champion. The trophies and prizes are described in full below.

The Vince Lombardi Trophy (Super Bowl winner) – The Vince Lombardi Trophy is awarded annually to the Super Bowl winner in the NFL. The winning team earns permanent control of the trophy. The trophy was named in the honour of Green Bay Packers former coach Vince Lombardi, who led his team to win the NFL Super Bowl twice. The George Halas Trophy (NFC champion) – the champion of the National Football Conference receives the George Halas Trophy. The trophy was named after George Halas who was the founder of the Chicago Bears. He was also one of the pioneers of the National Football League.

The Lamar Hunt Trophy (AFC champion) – the winner of the American Football Conference championship match receives the Lamar Hunt Trophy. The trophy is named after Lamar Hunt, the founder of the Kansas City Chiefs and a key figure in the formation of the American Football League (AFL). A conference championship ring is also given to the winning players.

The National Football League (NFL) is widely acknowledged as the most competitive and popular professional sports league in the world. The league has developed considerably with the passing of time and the advancement of technology. Every year, the game becomes faster and more difficult. Many leagues have sought to mimic the NFL's success, but none have achieved the same level of popularity.
