Oscar Isaac, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, and Jason Schwartzman are among those who have been added to the Oscar-winning animated show, but there's one casting announcement that Sony Pictures is keeping under the cloak of secrecy. This is the Scarlet Spider, a character the comic book fans among you will know is Peter Parker's clone Ben Reilly.

Speaking to Total Film, director Joaquim Dos Santos told Total Film, "I can't wait for the public to hear who voice his character. It still hasn't been released yet, but I'm awestruck by this Scarlet Spider actress."


It's not outside the realm of possibility the possibility that Scarlet Spider will be used to provide Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield a voice cameo. However, it sounds like Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will feature an even bigger cameo than whoever plays the clone...

Miles Morales returns for the new chapter in the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting the two with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time neighborhood's friendly Spider-Man is sucked into the Multiverse to meet a group of Spider-People responsible for protecting the multiverse's very existence.

However, when the heroes fight on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and has to rethink what is a hero so he can help the people he loves most.


It's Earth Day, an annual celebration that aims to highlight global concerns and promote the steps needed to safeguard the environment. However, Sony Pictures Animation is making use of the occasion to announce Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse which is set across several planets. On Twitter, the official Spider-Verse account celebrated Earth Day by releasing four new images from the film and each image highlights a different Earth.

The first image takes place on Earth-1610, which is the location of Miles Morales. If you look to the right-hand side of the picture you'll see Miles and Gwen enjoying an upside-down moment.
