5G cell towers are a brand new kind of antenna being utilized by wireless companies to provide internet service. They have more capabilities than 4g towers, and they can be much more dense.

What Makes 5g Towers Bad

One of the main issues with 5g towers is that these emit more radiofrequency radiation than other types of towers. They have to be positioned more densely across an area to ensure coverage.

The radio waves emitted by cell phone towers do not contain enough energy to harm DNA directly or heat tissues in the body, but they can destroy chemical bonds within DNA, which can damage cells and cause cancer.

It is a reason to be concerned about the possibility that living close to the 5G tower could cause adverse health effects.

The reason is that 5g towers are more likely be located near homes and schools where they can transmit rf waves all the time. This means they'll be closer to you than ever before and there is a greater chance that the radiation will be absorbed by your body.
They're Not Necessary

5G networks use a new part of the radio spectrum that can transmit data- these are called millimeter waves. They're much shorter than conventional radio waves, at less than 1-10mm in length, so they are more frequent and can carry more energy.

In order to provide the super-fast speed and low latency that 5G promises, it's necessary to establish a vast network of cell towers. This requires a lot of masts for cell phones to provide coverage to cities, roads as well as business districts, colleges and even farms.

But there are other ways to deliver fast internet service in highly-populated areas. One option is to create several tiny cell sites which are distributed in a dense manner to eliminate coverage gaps.

However, the biggest concern is where these cells will be placed and how they'll impact residents. Local authorities and residents are trying to determine ways to block these installations or prevent them from occurring in their neighborhoods.
