3 Simple Techniques For A Diverse and Divine Twist Upon Tradition With The Modern

Dugan's addition of the Divine being Associations is the only stand-out aspect of this part of the book. In the area titled 'The Minor Arcana', she provides another quicky introduction, and some standard information on the significances of each suit before launching into the descriptions. Like the Majors, she includes images of the card, interprets its meaning, and after that provides upright keywords and reversed keywords.

For the Courts, however, Dugan does consist of some brief information on the Components. With the exception of the Pages, she includes Zodiac Associations. What I found most unique about this section was Dugan's inclusion of a message from the Pages, a difficulty from the Knights, another message from Queens, and a lesson from the Kings.

Dugan supplies some info on Significators, which some companion books are doing not have. She offers the reader 3 Pagan/Wiccan friendly spreads: The Triple Goddess Spread, The Four Aspects Spread, and The Wheel of the Year Spread. The area titled 'Magick with the Witches Tarot Deck' is the most outstanding amongst other companion books.

She then gives several cards relating to spells that can be used to "Boost Tarot or Magickal Research Studies", "Develop a Strong, United Coven or Circle", and some for more standard requirements; Abundance, Security, Love, Broken Hearts and Hearth & Home. Additional Info include useful info: 'Minor Arcana Number and Court Card Meanings' and 'Signs in Tarot Cards'.

Initially, I was rather disappointed with the Witches Tarot Buddy as she is a rather well known author of witchcraft, and I thought she would have much more to provide to the world of Tarot. What I saw was that my expectations were much expensive, and upon completely reading the Buddy book I can now value what Dugan has actually done here is done quite well.

As "The Garden Witch", her focus is far more on the Natural Craft of Witchery; for whatever factor my expectations lead me to believe/desire a more mystical method like that which can be discovered in The Wizards Tarot By Corrine Kenner and John J. Blumen. Together, these two decks make a more total view of Witchcraft and Paganism (from my viewpoint).
