Show your level of understanding by choosing your exit ticket options. On slide twenty-eight, you will write or type your first name. On slide twenty-nine you can take a picture of your completed science experiment or draw a picture of your experiment. On slide thirty you will evaluate your experiment using the rubric provided. To show achievement you must receive seventy-five points or higher. On slide thirty-one, you will circle your observations. Lastly, you have two options to show your understanding of describing living versus non-living plants. You can choose to complete slide thirty-two or slide thirty-three. On slide thirty-two you will circle which plant is alive. If you choose option two then on slide thirty-three you will draw a living plant and draw two things it needs to survive.
Facilitation Notes: The teacher will move students to the breakout room to complete their exit tickets. Content mastery is achieved when the student scores seventy-five percent or higher on their exit ticket experiment. Content mastery for recording observations of how plants grow is assessed as a pass/fail. Pass is achieved by students observing and circling that on day one nothing has occurred with the seeds. Additionally, students must circle no under the question did the bean seeds start to grow in the bag with the soil? Moreover, to show competency of the standard explain the differences between the characteristics of living and nonliving plants students must either complete slides thirty-two or slide Thirty-three. On slide thirty-two students must circle the plant that is living. On slide thirty-three, students must draw a plant that is living with at least two out of the three components: sunlight, water, and soil. Visually impaired students benefit from large print used in every slide of the PowerPoint. Visually impaired students can also use text to speech software for any text on the slides. Hearing-impaired students have picture supports built into every slide. English language learners have picture supports built into every slide to aid in comprehension.
