Welcome/Introduction: Welcome to our third grade online geography module. I am excited to work with your child and family. This is going to be a fabulous project. We will learn many new things in fun and exciting ways. I will have several online games and activities to enhance your child`s learning. Please feel free to let me know if your child is having trouble in any area. I expect all students to be successful.

Goals for the module:

• Your child will be provided with a balanced geography curriculum that is rich in real-world activities while mastering foundational skills in geography.
• Your child will be provided with opportunities to develop deeper understanding and higher order thinking skills through a variety of activities in Geography.
• Your child will be exposed to real world applications while learning geography according the Georgia standards.

Assessments/Grade/Scale-

The students will be assessed using the primary grading scale:

A=90-100

B= 80-90

C=70-80

D=60-70

F=60 or below

Grading:

• Listed above is the grading scale that will be used to score assignments
• Quizzes will be reviewed and students will be given an opportunity to correct answers in order to promote learning of the material
• Discussions should be completed and a reply to another student is required
• Late work will be accepted up to 24 hours late but points will be deducted
