Our key concepts for this unit are:
- Understand the history of space exploration and the tools that are used in space exploration.
- Understand the movements of the sun, earth, and moon.
- Understand that the Earth rotates on an axis and that this rotation causes the day and night cycle.
- Understand that the earth revolves around the sun causing the change in seasons.
- Understand and predict the sequence of events related to the lunar cycle.
- Relate the positions of the moon and sun to their effect on ocean tides.
This unit will also contain 12 different lessons. The final project will require you to take all you will learn and create a scenario of what would happen if one of the patterns we will learn is disrupted. Keep this in mind while you are learning. I can't wait to see your final projects!
If you haven't filled out the student contact survey, please do so! It is in the welcome slide PowerPoint below along with all of the information you will need to know about how to contact me.
