Description

This course will teach a variety of entry-level video and radio production skills in the Digital Media Communications industry.  The students will learn various video/radio techniques and methods as well as how to use technology such as non-linear editing, studio, field, and audio productions.  Students will gain valuable knowledge in employment and media ethics.  Participates will work in groups in order to build team skills on assigned projects.  Also, these individuals will learn skills in writing, reading, and performance.  This course is for 19 weeks and will enable students to earn a credit.

Expectations and Goals

Goals:  Upon completing of this course, students will be able to gain employment in a college media center, Hotel conference center, and as an AV technician for a business, or high school/college theater.

Expectations:

  • Respect each other.
  • Groups are to work on projects independently.
  • Be attentive during presentation.
  • Observe all school rules.
