However, it did struggle a little when encountering carpets with a longer pile and also several large, thick piles of dried-on debris.

Like all robots that are available, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box and only requires the initial mapping run to get it used to your home. The map will then be displayed in the app and you can add or merge rooms as you need to. You can also set virtual boundaries as well as no-go zones or no-mop zones in case there's something you don't want your robot to touch.

The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up messes from hard floors, thanks to its rotating mop head that exerts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to vacuum and mop makes it an excellent option for homes with both types of flooring. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning products (which are included in the box) could make it less flexible than other robots which allow you to add your own cleaning solutions.
