The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who are looking to remove mopping from their to-do lists. Some of them have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other options which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.

It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in one go. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt as well as pet hair and droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be employed to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum to mop, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want an extremely efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device comes with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This leads to a thorough, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach many different surface areas. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.

Another noteworthy feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction strength and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.

The device has a expensive price, but comes with a large selection of smart features. It is important to note that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll should be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every one to three month.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and comes with a wide array of physical automation features. It has the power button that serves as a general "Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station after completing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module that has microfiber pads. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our testers discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its accurate floorplan map that it uses to create a route when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which can help to keep certain areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up hair from pets. It was able to capture a lot of the hair shed by our cats, and even made it into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were lovely jingles that inform you that it was starting and getting its work done.

The app was too simple and you had to alter the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't keep multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it has some unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. best cheap robot vacuum houses the 2.5-liter dust bin as well as a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base has a few control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to turn off the child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognising objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxy models.
