robot vacuums cheap and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one session without the need to switch between devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins, refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads using a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its relatively modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual can get you up and running in no time. You'll have a a full dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly app that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you could opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the living and kitchen areas but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent, with the robot being capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only issue it has is that it can hit objects and walls at a high speed, but just a glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks need to be done including emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and easy to understand although we would like to be able to differentiate between a vacuum only or a vacuum/mop clean when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This increases the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to remove fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might miss.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that can help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes two cameras that can recognize objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only negative I discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for washing manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these advanced features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll need to go through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It comes with a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without the use of a pad. In addition the X40 is very quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of sound when switching modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another noteworthy feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. The robot can also reach under furniture with low profile, making it an excellent choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush also automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots. This is a nice touch that assists the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and understand The X40 has many smart features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features which make it a good option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It also can detect whether the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has many characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mop heads, makes use of two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirty spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a good way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There's an impressive amount of settings available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and alter a variety of preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are a lot of functions that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of relying on a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing, but it's still not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
