Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your time to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Learn Additional Here Links to an external site. is a camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so that you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.

The design is also better than the other models. It has a sleek, high-end piece that resembles a toy rather than the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System automatically empty and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel, which most other robots aren't able to do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, is still a good option for those who want both a vacuum and a mop. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know whether the update actually working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be hybrid. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. These bots also come with a variety of extra features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're expensive at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't include some of the premium features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still a great choice when you're willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a place where most robot vacuums of lower quality aren't able to meet. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few misses in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place, emptying the bin is simple. It also comes with a large LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, however it can help you easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and features are some of the top available however, it's also expensive.

The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is relatively compact. The main reason to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've tested that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a clean zone for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for an automated vacuum that can do it all.

However, if you're looking to save some money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robot there are many other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models for substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of creating robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpet flooring, and mopping capabilities at an affordable price. It's easy to setup simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock close to a power outlet and ample space to allow it to move but.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be placed under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is less flashy than some of the rival models, and features sleek black finishes and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The most important feature that sets the G30 apart from its competitors is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged faster and has a similar battery life while offering better performance on floors with no carpet and low-pile carpet. It has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is, however, is more affordable and much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't require as frequent emptying and it has less trouble with bulky material like cereal.
