Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops have become more capable, acing our cleaning tests and tackling different types of floors. Choose models that allow you to select between a variety of modes, self-empty and clean stairs.
Many of the best models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an app that lets you save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and customize the behavior of the S1.
When I tested the S1, it was quick to identify our downstairs, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, as well as carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without any problems. However,
best budget robot vacuum had some difficulty navigating down the stairs in one go. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and lifted itself when it was near carpets or carpets.
After every mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills the water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for about twelve cleaning sessions before it has to be emptied, though it will differ based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating efficiently. For this, you'll need to clean the dirty water tank regularly to keep it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs' all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides a powerful solution to your cleaning needs. Its robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction power and comes with many unique features, including voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply dragging the pad across it. Mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station when required.
This robot combo has a simple interface that guides you throughout the process.
best budget robot vacuum comes with a hand vacuum that recharges to reach those areas the robot can't reach and two water tanks that are automatically emptied and replenished whenever needed. It comes with a range of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction that can easily pick up dust and debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty robust, however it is sometimes hung up on the tiny area mats or rugs that I have in my house (which is something you can control by creating a virtual border within the app). The mopping capabilities are quite impressive, and comes with a pair of spin mops that actually lift and scrub floors instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as needed.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush will ensure a thorough, customized clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned our tests' most filthy areas well, and keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other mess. The sweeping performance of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that extends to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that extend across baseboards.
Its navigation is intelligent that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can easily move from one room to another without changing direction which is a great feature for larger homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than other models However, it tends to leave a thick space around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The interface of the app is easy to use and easy to use. It should be easy to use for novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also alter suction power, mop settings and view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be operated through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri which allows you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for live video surveillance. You'll require a reliable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app as well as external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
Robot vacuums are excellent at picking up dirt and debris but they aren't able to reach every bit of dust. It's essential to clean your home often, at least once a week. This is especially true for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mop, is designed to do exactly that. It's simple to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your routine of cleaning.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's less expensive because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and comes with an aluminum body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've ever seen in this price range even though it's not able to wipe your floor. It features a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system which means you don't need to manually empty the bin every time. It also has a clever app that lets you select your floor's type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system to allow hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out, with a 2700Pa capacity to combat pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested to not have a problem with high-pile area rugs and carpets. However, it was able to not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't surprising, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also has an innovative mapping system that helps it reach corners and tight places that other vacuums can't. It also has the larger bin, meaning that you don't need to empty it as often. It also has washable filters which reduces the cost. This robot can also detect carpets and boost the suction when needed. You can also mark areas you want to keep out of the app.
