Bedside Cot Reviews

A bedside crib (also called a bassinet) is placed close to your bed so you can be able to provide care to your baby during night feeds and changing nappy without getting out of bed. They also help in building independence as your little one gets more comfortable in their own sleep space.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide crib is a crib that can be placed at the bedside, allowing parents to sleep with their baby while ensuring that they are safe to sleep. The smooth glide motion helps to lull your baby back into sleep and its innovative features allow you to monitor your baby without leaving your bed.

The cot's sliding side panel lifts and lowers with the press of a button, making it a breeze to reach inside and soothe a crying infant at night. It also has 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit on the mattress of almost any size bed. It also includes adjustable folding feet to make sure that it's placed at just the right level.

In terms of safety the cot is padded and comes with mesh sides for increased ventilation, and its mattress is made from high-density foam to provide extra protection. It is also wipeable which means you can keep the crib clean. It includes a fitted mattress sheet that is suitable for a crib.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other cribs for beds, is compatible with all beds including divans. This is due to the straps and clips that attach to it. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when not attached to your bed, and it's full of amazing features that are created with the bonding of parents and children in mind.

One thing to bear in mind is that even though this crib is great for newborns, it won't last long once your baby turns six months old, and you'll have to purchase a bigger cot. However, overall Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a excellent purchase and she particularly liked its elegant design.

bedside crib cots4tots is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna felt was an affordable price for a cot featuring the most innovative features. She also liked the way it was positioned in the bedroom, and believed that the grey color will work well in modern homes. She did point out that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby younger because it can cause a bad sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to give you an uninterrupted night's sleep. It has a drop-side rail which can be easily lowered for nighttime feeds without having to disturb your little one or get up - it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or for travel.

It's made of soft material and has mesh sides that are breathable to help promote airflow. It comes in charcoal or oak with a variety of melange fabrics that can be incorporated with a variety of styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when attached to her bed with the legs securely clicking into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure baby safety. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble it and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video as well as a customer support number available if you run into any issues.

In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a crib for your bed that include the ability to connect to your bed using a stay-in-place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option which can be used to aid congestion or reflux in babies. It can also be washed by a machine and is a must for all the spills and snot that can be found in a newborn baby!

The CoZee is a great option for keeping your child in the first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a changing station, cot or toddler bed. It can also be transformed into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. While it isn't able to feed your baby, or magically put them to sleep it will gently rock them until they go off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco’s more expensive options. It does have numerous excellent features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib that is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel thanks to a new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than the previous model, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to fit underneath any bed.

Our testers loved the easy access to the side panel, which can be moved up and down with just one push of the button. This was especially helpful at night, as they could reach in and pick up their baby without waking them.

It is possible to lower the side panel by itself but this is not recommended since it increases the likelihood that your child will fall out of the cot. The safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will remain in place when it is attached correctly to the mattress of the parent. This feature can be very beneficial to have peace of mind when you're breastfeeding and require frequent feedings at night.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers, thanks to the legs that can be telescopic. It features a tilting feature to help reflux babies, and the ability to rock to soothe them to sleep after eating. It's also extremely spacious and provides excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it comes with a long instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers but it's still fairly portable and can be moved from room room with ease. It's also small enough to fit into its travel bag when not in use which is an advantage when you have to transport it. The only downside our testers noticed was that the side panel did not flex as much as some of the other models, making it a little harder to see your baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option for an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a crib for co-sleeping that is securely attached to your bed and can be turned into a stylish cot when your baby is old enough. Ideal for feeding at night and strengthening the bond between you and your baby's new.

Unlike some other models of bedside cribs The Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as airflow mattress that is breathable and hypoallergenic maximise airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline can help to ease reflux and colic while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or soothe your baby during the night.

The kit for conversion to cot is also well-designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you require. It took us around an hour to assemble, and was relatively simple. The only issue was the lack of captions in writing on a few of the images which made it difficult to understand certain steps. However, it was a straightforward procedure and the quality of the materials used was high.

The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for women who are breastfeeding or have had C-sections. It allows them to reach out and touch their baby for comfort and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's great for parents who do not want to go through the stress of putting their child in a traditional cot or getting them out of it.

During our testing we observed the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be especially helpful when it comes to helping babies fall asleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a big selling point for our exhausted test mums. Although it doesn't rock or come with extra features, like a sound system, the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functional features make it a great addition to our top bedside crib reviews.
