The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who are looking to remove mopping from their list of tasks. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other options which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through an efficient.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as effective. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is useful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys or books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and is effective however, this is something you'll have to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a variety of features.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home, identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach places. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to alter the amount of suction and choose between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also set the number of passes it will make, which will affect how fast the device will move through your home. You can also deactivate the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.

It's expensive, but has many smart features. It is important to remember that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be replaced every one to three months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high Amazon rating and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' and a Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the dustbin, refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home neat without spending too much time doing chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with little effort.

robotic hoovers Links to an external site. is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its precise floorplan that it uses to determine a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to keep specific areas of your home from being swept with a mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair that our cats shed and even found its way into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some pleasant jingles to inform you that it was starting and working towards its goal.

The app was too simple and you had to change the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot save multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock, which serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognising objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy models.
