Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet mess in one session without the need to switch between devices. They can also reduce space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer for its relatively affordable price, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual will have you running in no time. It comes with an entire dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and vacuums well too. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent, with the robot being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only drawback is that it can hit objects and walls at a high speed, but a quick glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells the maintenance tasks that must be completed including emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank in a controlled manner by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. This year's model has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to remove smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.

Like the two other Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its path automatically and clean them without missing a step.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.

The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if it's required), it's a pain to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its innovative design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. In addition, the X40 is quiet in it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.

The X40 has an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean curved furniture such as table and chair legs. It can also get under furniture that is low-profile which makes it an ideal choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that helps the X40 to avoid damaging floors by repeated back-and-forth movements.

Unlike other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.

The app is simple to use and understand The X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, change modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it an ideal choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin and wash mop pads before refilling them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It will also tell you if the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles in addition to removing spills and wet spots.

The mop mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. remote hoover is an excellent feature because it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a great method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.

There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning process, and there are numerous features that other robots do not have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on an individual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and elegant. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
