The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to get rid of mopping off their list of tasks. They feature impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through an efficient.

It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well however it's something you'll need to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.

automated vacuum Links to an external site. stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and find furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This leads to a thorough, consistent clean that's also fairly quick.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach many different surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce odors.

App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also select the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can even choose to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

The device comes with a expensive price, but comes with a large selection of smart features. It's important to remember that it carries periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and offers a wide range of physical automation features. These include the power button that serves as a general "Clean button as well as a Home button that sends it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning session. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home tidy without spending too much time on chores. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is able to perform mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers that help to protect certain areas of your house from being swept with a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able to capture a lot of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that indicated when it was starting or completing its task.

Its main drawbacks were its simple app and the need to change out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to store multiple maps, which could be a problem if you have a home that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it does have certain unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its huge dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to switch on the child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert on its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxy models.
