Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops have become more efficient, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on a variety of floor types. Select models that allow you to select between a variety of modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.

Many of the top models work with your smartphone. Find an app that allows you to save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behavior.

The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms and a carpet in the middle and a large area. It easily drove close to walls without hitting them, and even managed to cross raised room thresholds with no problem, although it sometimes had trouble navigating down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving effortlessly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rug.

The docking station on the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock adds an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but it will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working efficiently. You'll need to wash out the dirty tank to keep it from becoming clogged. You will also need to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them becoming clogged up with dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially compared to other models that require more hands-on maintenance.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robot vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a powerful option for your cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum is rated at 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with many innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that eliminates obstructions and cleans furniture. The mopping feature is remarkable, with mops rotating that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station when needed.

This robot combo is easy to setup and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the process. It also includes a hand vacuum which can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks which are automatically emptied or filled. It comes with a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a good vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that can easily pick up dust and debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it could get stuck on small mats and rugs around my home (which you can alleviate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping feature is pretty good as well, with two spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub floors instead of just dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also filled at the top of the station as needed.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush guarantee a thorough, customised clean.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It works equally well on hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently, avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that moves out to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that extend across baseboards.

Its navigation is smart it can navigate through tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a step. It is able to move from one room to another without having to change direction. This is useful for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than other models however, and tends to leave a thick margin over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.

The interface of the app is simple and easy to use. It should be easy to use for novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings, change the suction power and mopping settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and more. It can be operated through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, allowing you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. But, you'll require a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app as well as external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 pro

Robot vacuums are great in removing dirt and debris but they're not able to get every speck of dust. This is why it's important to make use of your regular vacuum once every week, particularly to pick up dust in corners, on shelves, and in the corners of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that both vacuums and mop, is made to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your cleaning routine.

The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's more expensive S-series models. It includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves cost by removing mopping functions and using a cheaper plastic body.

The Q5 is still one of the most powerful mopping and vacuums we've ever seen in this price range even though it's not able to clean your floors. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an automatic emptying system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning and choose the floor type. www.robotvacuummops.uk comes with an automatic water tank filling and washing system to allow hands-free operation.

The mops also stand out with their 2700Pa capacity to take on pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard flooring. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't show any issues with high-pile carpets or area carpets, but it didn't clean up kitty litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we have tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home this will allow it to enter the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums cannot reach. This device also collects dust in a bigger dustbin which means you have empty it less frequently. Additionally, it has washable filters which further reduces the expenses associated with using the device. This robot can also detect carpets and increase suction if needed. You can also mark areas you would like the robot to avoid using the app.
