John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for an item. She also liked how it was positioned in the bedroom and believed that the grey color would suit most modern homes. We love that it's constructed of soft materials that have mesh sides that breathe, which aids in airflow and ease of use. The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, but it is packed with lots of features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib that is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It features a brand new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is easy to operate, even for one-handed operation. It's also more flexible than its predecessor with 11 different height levels and retractable feet for a secure place under any bed.
Our testers loved the ease of access offered by the side panel which can be moved upwards and down with a single push of a button. This was a huge help during night time feeds, as it meant they could easily reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel itself, but this isn't recommended because it increases the chance that your baby will fall out of the cot. However, the patented safety locking mechanism guarantees that it can only remain in place if it is connected to the parent's bed correctly. This is an excellent feature to have for peace of mind, especially in the case of breastfeeding and frequent night feeds.
Telescopic legs permit the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed including divan bases as well as beds with drawers. It also comes with a tilting function for reflux babies and a rocking mode that can soothe them back to sleep after feeding. It's also very large and has great ventilation due to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects, despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers, but it's easily moved from one room to another. It's also small enough to fit in a travel bag when not in use which is an advantage in the event that you have to transport it. The only thing our testers have found is that the side panel did not flex as much compared to other models. This made it a bit harder to see your baby from your bed.

During our tests we noticed the smooth motion of the next-to-me crib to be especially useful in helping babies fall asleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a big selling point for our exhausted moms who took part in our tests.
