When I tested the S1, it was able to map our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even over raised thresholds without any problems. However it had some issues navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and swung up when it came to carpets or carpets.

The S1's docking station automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to each mopping session. The dock provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 mopping sessions, however it will differ based on how often you use the mop.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship model of robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush guarantee a thorough, customised clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and small particles from hard floors as well as carpets.
