This is one of Chicco’s more expensive options. However, it has a lot of great features. It's designed to function as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable for babies up to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel using a brand new mechanism. It is also more adjustable than the previous model, with 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure fit underneath any bed.

bedside crib co sleeper loved the ease of access to the side panel, which can be flipped up and down by pressing one button. This was particularly useful during nighttime feedings as they could reach inside and pick their baby up without waking them.

The side panel can be removed on its own however it isn't advised as it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will stay down if it is connected correctly to the parent's mattress. This feature is great to have peace of mind when you breastfeed and require frequent night feeds.

It's heavier than other side-sleepers, however it's quite portable and can be moved from room to room with ease. It's also foldable into a bag for travel, which is ideal if you want to transport it. The only issue our testers found was that the side panel didn't flex as much as the other models, which made it a little harder to see your baby from your own bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're in search of a crib for your bed that will grow with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It is designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that will attach securely to your bed, but can also convert into a stylish cot once your baby is ready, it's ideal for feeding your baby at night and for strengthening your bond with your baby.

A gentle incline option helps to ease colic and reflux while the zip down side allows you to feed or soothe your baby during the night.

The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to start. It took us around an hour to put together and was relatively easy to put together. The only issue with the instructions was that a few images were not captioned. This made it difficult to follow the instructions. Overall, the procedure was simple and the materials used were of high quality.

In co-sleeping mode we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a c-section because it lets them comfortably reach out to their newborn to feed and comfort them without having to leave their bed. It's also great for parents who want to avoid the hassle of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or placing their child down for a nap.

During our testing we noticed the smooth motion of the next-to-me crib to be especially beneficial in lulling babies back to sleep after feedings at night and midday. The drop-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a major selling point for our exhausted moms who took part in our tests. The Joie Roomie Glide is a sleek and functional crib that doesn't rock, nor has extra features like an audio system.
