The World Series of Poker, the richest, most authoritative, and longest-lasting poker series, today announced its daily event schedule for the 2023 tournament, which will be the biggest and best WSOP ever. The 54th annual WSOP will offer more tables, more varieties, and the largest bracelet event in history from May 30 to July 18, 2023, at Las Vegas Stripes in Las Vegas, Hosche and Las Vegas, Paris.
The 2023 WSOP is based on a 2022 tournament with 197,626 participants from more than 100 countries, as well as a record-breaking pool of prize money with a new home total of $347.9 million. This summer's event will be the largest in series history, with 608 tables placed in more than 200,000 square feet of convention space, 24/7 live cash game action, including a new permanent Hall of Fame poker room, and the first $300 price-range tournament in WSOP history.
The centerpiece of this summer is the $10,000 Nominal Holdham World Championship, well known for "The Main Event," which will take place July 3-17, following 8,663 participants in 2022, the second-largest event in live poker history.
"With the momentum gained from WSOP's debut in the Las Vegas Strip last year, we expect record WSOP and world championships to take place in Paris and Horsche Las Vegas in 2023," says Ty Stewart, senior vice president and executive director of WSOP. "If the main event is on our bucket list, this is the year we can go to Las Vegas."
After falling just short of the 2022 main event record, organizers have prepared a vast series of promotions with the theme of "main event enthusiasts" to beat the record-breaking field set in 2006:
600 Main Event Seats Guaranteed From GGPoker: GGPoker, the world's largest poker room and exclusive WSOP satellite partner, went out to offer 500 main event seats at GGPoker.com and 100 more on the ClubGG.net subscription site through international qualifiers. The total of 600 seats or $6,000,000 in prize money is more than double GGPoker's official qualifiers compared to the 2022 series. The online satellite is scheduled to begin in March.
Casino Worldwide's Main Event Mania: 2023 will host WSOP's first global qualifying weekend from May 20-21 in live poker rooms on five continents around the world. Just before WSOP begins in Las Vegas, poker rooms around the world will join forces to provide a guaranteed seating satellite tournament to send players to the 2023 main event. Each poker room offers a $140 buy-in and a top mega 'step' tournament of $1,175 that pays Las Vegas guaranteed seating and travel allowances.
Although additional venues will be announced, resorts that have already pledged to host main events enthusiasts in the U.S. over the weekend of May 20-21 include Cherokee in Hara, Hosche Las Vegas, Hosche Tunica, Hosche St. Louis, Pompano in Hara, Turningstone Casino, Hard Rock Tulsa, Grand Victoria Casino (Elgin, Illinois), and Hosche Council Bluffs. International partners across four continents include King's Resort (Czech Republic), Club Pierre Sharon Paris (France), Dearfoot in Casino Calgary (Canada), Punta del Este Resort and Casino (Uruguai), and Casino Esadi Marrakesh (Morocco).
WSOP's 112 Seat Sprint: With the poker world descending to Las Vegas, the WSOP has become the best place to compete in the main event of 2023. As many as 112 main event seats are guaranteed on WSOP Online from June 25 to July 8. The sprint for records begins on Sunday, June 25, with 10 seats guaranteed per day. The 25-seat scramble, which comes with a $250,000 guarantee, will take place on Sunday, July 2, highlighting the festival. The effort culminates with the final draw for the final seats in the main event, which will take place on Saturday, July 8. In addition, there is a free "all-in" satellite running from June 25 to July 8 every day for $80 to $126 every day.
WSOP Online Bracelet Event: Popular WSOP online bracelet events are back, including every Sunday of summer, when three special "Double Up Bracelet Days" are held on June 4, June 25, and July 9. The schedule is highlighted with exciting events, including a $500 Summer Saver, a $3,200 High Roller, and a $1,000 Signature NLHE Online Championship. The new events also include a $300 Summer Kickoff and a $5,300 High Roller Championship event, with the last table live in Las Vegas during WSOP Online's Championship Week.
Lifetime Main Event: If the main event record is broken, all participants in the field will participate in a raffle awarding non-transferable main event purchase rights for the next 30 years. The raffle will take place on Saturday, July 8, utilizing each player's Caesars Rewards number.
Hosch Las Vegas will be hosting the WSOP for the first time since it was rebranded as Bali Las Vegas, which symbolizes a return to the roots of the series, because the first tournament was held at the original Hosch in Las Vegas in 1970. To celebrate the legacy, the resort recently opened its first Hall of Fame poker room to host some WSOP tournaments during this summer's series, and will soon host the Poker Hall of Fame exhibition as an homage to its legendary players and the sport's iconic trophies.
The Daily Deep Stack Tournament will be held once again daily from June 1 to July 17, with buy-ins between $200 and $400. In addition, the Daily Mega Satellite will be held from May 31 to July 14, with buy-ins starting at $135 and starting at $25,000. The WSOP main cage will be placed again in Las Vegas, Paris, where the two buildings are connected and the TV set for the final table will be placed in Las Vegas, Hosch, which shares a parking lot.
CBS Sports is back for a third season as WSOP's broadcast partner and will be available to stream daily on Falkergo. Details on the bracelet event and coverage of the 2023 main event will be announced soon.
Visitors to the WSOP Bracelet Event can use the special pre-booking code "WSOP23" for early reservations to avail discounted hotel room rates at all Caesars Entertainment Resorts in Las Vegas, as well as Hosch and Paris. Rates vary depending on availability and are subject to change.
