Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album is an attempt to return to the classic sextet format, and it was a more consistent, more powerful effort with a harder edge. The edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. Bobby Kimball's growing ability to play was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard work was as well more refined, more precise and less akin to previous efforts.

After touring to promote their album, the band recorded their Amsterdam live concert which was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between.
