A new ordinance, adopted on Friday, Oct. 18, said it will establish Japan's preliminary gambling committee on Jan. 7, 2020, preparing for the start of the casino industry. The so-called Casino Management Committee (CMC) will operate under the Cabinet Office, which was appointed by the government of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Before officials can be appointed to run the committee, the National Assembly, Japan's National Assembly, will have to investigate the candidates. According to data released Friday, a total of five members will be elected to the committee and each will serve a five-year term.
Integrated Resort Management
The Commission will be in charge of a range of activities related to the upcoming Integrated Resorts (IR) project in 2024/2025. Based on the information available, the CMC will ensure that all security measures are maintained and that all operators have undergone necessary background checks.
The CMC will also be held accountable for the probabilities. According to the current plan, Japan will first operate three integrated resorts. However, only one will arrive in 2024/2025, and bidders from different regions of Japan are already pushing to secure the first project. Three brands will be allowed to open casinos within the resorts, and gambling will be banned for local residents. 슬롯사이트
