Hanwha, which had the first overall nomination right for three consecutive years, won Hwang Joon-seo following Moon Dong-ju (2021) and Kim Seo-hyun (2022).

Moon Dong-ju had a down payment of 500 million won and Kim Seo-hyun also had a down payment of 500 million won. Hwang Joon-seo is 350 million won, less than these.

Ahead of the game against LG at Jamsil Stadium on the same day, Hanwha manager Choi Won-ho was curious about Hwang Joon-seo's down payment after hearing the news of the rookie contract. When he heard that it was 350 million won, he said, "Then it's the level of Lee Eui-ri and Kim Jin-wook."

Lee Eui-ri (KIA), left-handed pitchers as rookies in 2021, signed a contract for 300 million won and Kim Jin-wook (Lotte) for 370 million won. This year's second-ranked left-hander Yoon Young-chul (KIA) signed a contract for 320 million won.

When Moon Dong-ju and Kim Seo-hyun heard that the down payment was 500 million won each, Choi said with a smile, "We get the merit of arrest in any country." Right-handed fireballers Moon Dong-ju and Kim Seo-hyun throw fastballs for more than 155 kilometers and up to 160 kilometers. Hwang Jun-seo's fastest fastball speed is around 150 kilometers.

Coach Choi expressed his intention to consider future plans after seeing the pitching of rookie players such as Hwang Joon-seo at the final camp. "I think Hwang Joon-seo and left-hander Cho Dong-wook will try to watch them pitch a few times. I'm not going to do it like a do-or-die, but I'm going to make them throw about 30 to 40 pitches. I've never actually seen him throw, so I have to see him," he said.  토토사이트 추천

"It's bullpen pitching, but I'll have to take a look at pitching style, strike ability, command ability, breaking ball ability, and pitch value. He explained, "If you compare it with the current players, for example, Kim Ki-joong, how much can we come up with?"

Hwang Joon-seo pitched in 15 games (49 ⅔ innings) this year and played with 6 wins, 2 losses and a 2.16 ERA. He played for the national team at the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 Baseball World Cup (World Youth Baseball Championship) last month, recording one win, two losses and a 3.97 ERA in three games (12 ⅓ innings).

After selecting Hwang Joon-seo as the No. 1 pick in the draft, Hanwha General Manager Son Hyuk said, "Our scouts have recommended it all year round. He mentioned, "Everyone wants a pitcher, and he is a player who will want even more if he sees the future."

Hanwha has completed all contracts with 10 rookies, including Hwang Joon-seo in the first round. Second-round pick Cho Dong-wook (Jang Chung-go, pitcher) signed for 150 million won, and third-round pick Jeong An-seok (Whimoon High School, infielder) signed for 100 million won.

Hwang Young-mook (Yeoncheon Miracle, infielder) signed a contract for 80 million won in the fourth round, Lee Ki-chang (Yushin-ho, pitcher) in the fifth round and Choi Jun-seo (Dongguk University, outfielder) in the sixth round for 60 million won, and Lee Seung-hyun (Gyeongbuk High School, catcher) in the eighth round for 40 million won. The seventh round is no trade for nomination rights.

Won Jong-hyuk (in-house and pitcher), Kwon Hyun (Jang Chung-go and outfielder), and Seung Ji-hwan (Yushin-ho and pitcher), who were nominated in the 9th to 11th rounds, will receive a down payment of 30 million won side by side.
