Grand Island Casino has begun building a $100 million casino in Poner Park, Nebraska.

The U.S.-Grand Island Casino held a groundbreaking ceremony and a $100 million permanent casino resort at Poner Park in Nebraska. It will open in 2025.

The venue will include 650 slot machines, 20 table games, and a sportsbook on the 37,000-square-foot casino floor. It will feature a rooftop dining experience, a show lounge and sports bar, a 116-room boutique hotel, a salon and spa, a gift shop, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, and four restaurants including 400 stall parking lots.

Grand Island's temporary casino on the poner park racecourse opened its sportsbook in August, making it Nebraska's second-most sports betting facility. Elite sportsbook offers betting kiosks in draft day areas.

Grand Island is Nebraska's only elite casino. Elite operates four different casinos in Illinois, Iowa, and South Dakota.

Elite CEO Dan Kehl said, "We're excited to open a temporary casino, but we wait until we see the amenities offered by a permanent casino resort. We've put together a strong team of local contractors to partner with us on this project. I'm excited to get this started."

Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission Shane Grekel added, "Poner Park is the driving force behind Nebraska racing and gaming."

Fonner Park CEO Chris Kotulak said, "This new casino and hotel will stand tall on our campus and serve as a beacon of thoroughbred, jockey, and community awareness that will help us learn what Fonner Park is and what it can be in the future."

Three temporary casinos in Nebraska, located in Lincoln, Poner Park, and Columbus, generated $1.58 in tax revenue during the month of September. These casinos were taxed 20 percent on their gross income of $7.91 million.  바카라사이트

Tax payments are up from $1.55 million in August and $1.54 million in July. Currently, three racetrack casinos are open in Nebraska: the Grand Island Casino Resort, Lincoln's War Horse Casino, and Haras Columbus NE Racing & Casino.
