Fifteen high school track and field long-distance prospects attended the 2023 Dong-A Marathon Dream Foundation scholarship certificate award ceremony held at the Dong-A Media Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 4th. Fifteen high school long-distance track and field prospects, including Kim Eun-hyuk (Baemun High School) and Park Hye-min (Gyeongbuk Physical Education High School), received scholarships at the 2023 Dong-A Marathon Dream Foundation scholarship certificate presentation ceremony held at the Dong-A Media Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 4th. Kim Eun-hyuk and Park Hye-min are the players who ranked first in the male and female high school rankings this year.

Established in 1995, the foundation has been awarding scholarships annually to high school athletes who have excelled in long-distance track and field events since 2002. The purpose is to nurture athletes who will follow in the footsteps of 1992 Barcelona Olympics marathon gold medalist Hwang Young-jo (Korea Sports Promotion Foundation marathon coach). This year's scholarship award ceremony was held again for the first time in four years since 2019 due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection.

Kim Eun-hyukwas happy, saying, “I was able to receive this award because I worked hard and did not give up despite the slump that lasted for two years.” Park Hye-min pledged, “Next year, when I become a senior in high school, I will work harder and come back to this place.”

Lee Yeon-taek, chairman of the foundation, said, “I hope that today will be an opportunity for you to have the hope of becoming like your predecessors, such as the late Son Ki-jeong, winner of the 1936 Berlin Olympics marathon.” Yook Hyeon-pyo, President of the Korea Athletics Federation, said, “The reason you are here today is because you are talented and have a lot of potential. “I look forward to seeing you on the international stage, such as the Asian Games and Olympics, soon,” he said.
