Avatar 2: The Way of Water is scheduled to be released on December 16, 2022. This film will come with high quality 4K High Dynamic Range and of course still with a 3D display.
Previously, the shooting process for this film had been completed since September 2020, as were the three sequels.

James Cameron as the director announced that this Avatar film has 4 sequels, namely Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: The Seed Bearer, Avatar: The Tulkun Rider, and Avatar: The Quest of Eywa.
Avatar 2 will premiere on December 16, 2022, Avatar 3 on December 20, 2024, Avatar 4 on December 18, 2026, and Avatar 5 on December 22, 2028.
