Japan has further eased its border restrictions, allowing people arriving from 98 countries where coronavirus cases are low to be exempt from testing at airports and quarantine.
Japan is slated to permit entry to foreign tourists on escorted tours starting June 10, effectively opening its borders to visitors for pleasure for the first time in more than two years. But with a slate of recent changes, who exactly can enter Japan?
The percentage of young people who have received a COVID-19 booster is expected to remain low in Japan, with the proportion of people in their 20s who have had it likely to hover at around 40% in August — half the rate for the second shot — according to an estimate recently released by Kyoto University researchers.

The positive outcome has even convinced some skeptics of the nation's cluster strategy. Japan has prevented an outbreak "on the scale seen in many Western countries," says Kenji Shibuya, a global health specialist at King's College London who previously warned of undetected community spread.  스포츠중계 He credits the public's cooperation with stay-at-home directives and the fortuitous timing of the emergency.

The two pharma companies will transfer the marketing authorization of Spikevax from Takeda to Moderna in Japan as of August 1, 2022, they said in a press release Tuesday morning.

According to Moderna, the company will assume responsibility for all Spikevax activities, including import, local regulatory, development, quality assurance and commercialization. Takeda’s role will continue to provide distribution support under Japan’s current national vaccination campaign for Moderna Covid-19 vaccines for a transitional period. Both companies will be responsible for ensuring the proper implementation of operations associated with this transfer.
