Chuck-A Luck, a three-dice casino game, is unique. It behaves more or less as Craps or Chuck-a Luck with some minor modifications. An average player can learn to play this game in a matter of minutes. This virtual game is based upon an old Chinese traditional dice-game called "Liu Jie", but has been simplified to computer codes. If you have the opportunity to look at the back of your card, you might notice that the numbers printed were generated by a simple computer program, specifically a Chinese numeric calculator. Today, this calculator can be used for scientific calculations, and the computer screen can be used for reading and comparing data sets.

It is assumed the mechanics and layout of Chuck-A-Luck are similar to the classic wooden version. Additionally, the general arrangement and symbols on both the video and dice screens is the same as in the traditional version. Therefore, it is likely that the rules will remain the exact same. The only difference between the traditional Chuck-A Luck and web-based Chuck-A Luck is the random generation of the dice. The gaming software integrates the random number generator (RNG).

In case you are wondering how the random number generator works, here is a short explanation. The traditional Chuck-A Luck game sees the player place wagers on the amount indicated on the dice and wait for the result of the dice roll. If his wagers are correct, the gamer wins. If not, he loses. In case of the web-based variant, the dice are generated based on the parameters defined by the developers. This gives one an advantage over Chuck-A Luck gamers by choosing the parameters that are most favorable to him.

The dice symbols are laid out in a grid. There are four points per horizontal line. Each square on the grid corresponds to one number. Therefore, all squares located next to a number one receive a one value, while all squares located near number two get a two value. This is how Chuck-A Luck dice rolls generates the result.

The dice symbols are designed in a way that creates a pattern. The patterns on the Chuck-A Luck dice symbol are considered lucky. This is why sic-bo (a popular gambling game) is often associated with Chuck-A-Luck. The artwork of the game is also found to correlate closely with that of the symbols used in the gambling game itself. Thus, the artwork often bears close resemblance to the gambling symbols as well.

Many other ancient gambling games, such as sic Bo, also contain symbols and artwork that are very similar to those found on Chuck-A-Luck. For instance, the artwork of the game of cribbage has been found to contain close resemblance to that of the Chuck-A-Luck symbols. Similar to the dice symbols, the artwork for baccarat also bears a close resemblance.

The Chuck-A Luck logo is also widely used in Patience, an ancient gambling game. Similar artwork and symbols can also be found in imagery from the 21st Century game, such as the bag full of dice. Similar Dice pairs like the one shown in sic Bo can also be found in other cultures around the world.

In fact, Chuck-A-Luck's very concept is closely intertwined to that of gambling - both dangerous and fun. In case you are into gambling, you'll know that a house edge is the difference between the value of your investment and the amount that you would need to pay back to gain that same investment back in the future. Although you might lose a few points, the large payoff you will experience will outweigh any losses.
