There are so many differences between the clam and oysters as they are both molluscs. Although both belong to the phylum of molluscs, however there are several key differences in their anatomy, physiology and uses. The shell of both the clam and the oyster is usually very similar in both shape and size however this is not always the case. The shell of both organisms also takes water through its shell, however the process of filtering through the shells is quite different. In addition to the key differences listed here, research has shown that mollusks also differ in their intelligence and ability to detect food.

Clams are the most popular mollusk species in the world with over two hundred recognized species in the wild. There are over four hundred recognized species of clams in the ocean including the common bullaloon, barberry, common snapper and common bullfish. Each of these species has a slightly different color and shell with the common snapper being the most brightly colored of all the clams. The tail of the common snapper can be black, white or grey and the shape of its beak is unique among all the clams.

Clams are considered to be the larvae of oysters. Clams are frequently used in the production of cultured pearls with the exception of round clams which are difficult to breed in the oysters. This is because it would require multiple passages through the uterus of an adult clam before it could produce pearls.

Mollusks and clams share a close relationship and dependence on each other especially in regards to reproduction. Clams rely heavily on their eggs for survival. They are able to lay hundreds of eggs in just a single day thereby ensuring their own survival. The oysters likewise depend on the clams as they are the ones that supply them with food and oxygen.

Because both mollusks and clams shells, they serve as a sort of sponge through which the mollusk absorbs the oxygen that it needs in order to produce pearls. It has long been known that oysters naturally have a large inventory of calcium and phosphorous. These substances are what the oysters need in order to grow and form their shell layers. The presence of these two nutrients in the oysters makes it possible for it to grow into a safe place for the clams to deposit their eggs.

There are also differences between the sensation that people have when they feel the "tingling" sensation in their finger. When you touch your finger to your palm and feel a slight tingling sensation, it means that the layer of mucous that is covering your nerves has become thicker and your body has entered into the second level of its shell. This particular sensation is called "fever". When you compare this with a situation where you have touched with your finger and felt no tingling sensation then you would know that you have entered into the first level of your nervous system which is the calm stage.

The feeling is accompanied by a sense of fear, which is the main motivation of traditional approaches to treating hysteria. These traditional approaches treat hysteria by using pharmaceutical drugs such as anti-depressants, which are unnatural compounds. These drugs cause changes in the level of serotonin, which is present in the brain and interfere with natural chemical reactions in the body.

Natural remedies address the chemical imbalances and introduce herbs, minerals and vitamins into the body. They describe a more natural way of dealing with the symptoms such as the symptoms of Clostridium difficile. It is not uncommon for people to describe a "clawed grasp" or a "fear gripped feel within" when they are in the clawed grasp stage of a systemic infection. When they say that their symptoms are similar to those described by someone in a hospital who is in the "claw grip" stage, then they are describing the symptoms of a very different condition then when they say that it feels like the "feared grip" or the "fear gripped feel within".
