Shiatsu is an alternative form of traditional Japanese bodywork based upon pseudoscientific beliefs in ancient Chinese medicine including the concept of the yin and yang. Shiatsu is a Japanese form of acupressure that originated in Japan. It is similar to acupuncture, but its purpose is to heal the body via massage and not just pain relief.
