Module 3: Navigation & other considerations

Lesson Objectives

Participants will

  1. Understand why navigation is important in documents.
  2. Compare visual formatting to Style Mark-up.
  3. Create a digitally accessible document with clear navigation.

Introduction

In this final Module, we will address issues that are not necessarily detected through an accessibility checker but that are just as important. In Lesson Page 1, we will set up navigation and browse the Style Sets provided by Microsoft. Then, in Lesson Page 2, you’ll create your own Style Set. This is where you can set up some defaults to match your own personal style and make your documents accessible from the start.

Estimated reading time for Module 3: 10 minutes
