The human body is very complex. Within the human body there are many different systems, or groups of organs that work together to produce and sustain life. These systems work together as a network. If one system fails, the rest of the network must work harder and in turn cause complications or even cause other systems to fail as well.

You will be learning about the following systems:

Digestive system
Mechanical and chemical degradation of food with purpose of absorbing into the body and using as energy
Nervous system
Initiation and regulation of vital body functions, sensation and body movements.
Respiratory system
Exchange of oxygen and carbon-dioxide between the body and air, acid-base balance regulation, phonation.
Skeletal System
The human skeleton is a framework that gives your body shape and support and essentially stops you from being just a blob on the floor.
Muscular System
Permits movement of the body, maintains posture, and circulates blood throughout the body. Together with the skeletal system in the human, it forms the musculoskeletal system, which is responsible for the movement of the body.
Respiratory System
Works in partnership with our cardiovascular system to supply the body with oxygen and remove carbon dioxide.
