Context of Mission to Accomplish Participation project
This educational material was created in an Erasmus+ small-scale partnership project called MAP - Mission to Accomplish Participation! The goal of the project was to find out how young people themselves define youth participation, what forms of participation young people recognize and value, what methods exist in youth work to support youth participation, what needs to have meaningful participation of young people, and how can youth work enhance inclusion in participation, i.e. enable participation also for young people with fewer opportunities. To reach our goal, we brought together the views of young people, youth work students, youth workers and youth research to map out obstacles and channels for youth participation in Finland and Hungary. The project consisted of two international workshops, local coaching and educational material.
Our project network consists of organizations specialized in youth research and youth work education and also organizations doing practical fieldwork with young people.
