Field trips

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE AND PLEASE make sure to notify us of a field trip at least 2 weeks in advance. Please give us a list of students that will be going on the field trip. This is so important. This will allow us time to go through each list and find those students that have a medical diagnosis or problem that you or a chaperone may need to be aware of. If we don't have enough time to go through the lists prior to the field trip we may ask you to go though the list instead and tell us which medical students will be traveling.

We are also obligated to send someone (ie Staci or myself) if a parent of a medical student cannot attend.  Parents of a student diagnosed with diabetes or seizures should be given preference as a chaperone. This way they can be in charge of their student's medical needs while off campus. If a parent or Staci or I cannot attend the field trip due to late notice or being unable to leave campus, we may do some extra training for you as the teacher/chaperone so our students with a medical diagnosis can be comfortable attending.
